Mandelbrot Set Explorer
The Mandelbrot set is the most well known and studied non-self-similar fractal, a mathematical figure with an infinite level of detail. I made a program to explore visualizations of it, and generate videos of zooms into the set.
Accomplishments
Main features:
- Render high resolution pictures and videos of very deep zooms in minutes
- Fully optimized with GPU acceleration
- Live exploration of the set
- Support for many different rendering algorithms and colormaps through shaders
